The origin of graffiti
Graffiti has its origins in ancient times, when humans left inscriptions and drawings on walls and rocks. Some of the earliest forms of graffiti can be found in the Roman Empire, where citizens wrote messages on walls
However, modern graffiti emerged in the 1960s in Philadelphia and New York, most notably with the signature of “Taki 183,” a young man who began writing his name in various parts of the city.
